The History of Precision Custom Metals
Julia and Vincent founded Precision Custom Metals, Inc. in 1997 because they wanted to start a company together that would satisfy his appetite for creative problem solving and her appetite for business. They wanted a company that operated in an honest and inventive environment while providing competitive salaries, benefits, holidays – all of the things a large company would provide - with room for individual and company-wide growth for its employees.
They began with the two of them in a small shop in Avondale Estates, Ga., creating custom high-end residential metal accents – Vincent in the shop and Julia in the office. PCM soon outgrew its first three locations and has been located in Tucker, Ga., for several years. Tucker is ideally situated for large-scale fabrication and transportation of such items to locations across the country and beyond. The company is positioned to continually grow its business and has recently expanded into international work.
After a decade of success, they continue to focus on work that challenges the PCM team. People often refer to them as artists; however, they prefer craftspeople – the accents are visually beautiful but also beautifully engineered, fabricated and finished, and these are highly skilled crafts. It takes years to be fully trained PCM employees. Their innovation and experience is evident in every aspect of working with PCM. From the first submittal package with correct documentation, all the way to the safe installation of the finished product and the zero punch list, the PCM commitment to providing excellent service is evident.
PCM continually grows corporate skills through executive education and coaching programs such as The Rockefeller Habits Private and Public Workshops. PCM invests monthly in personal and team coaching for their CEO, CFO, DOO, and VP’s through Gazelles Rockefeller Habits Coaching Program, Vistage and the E-Myth Mastery Program. PCM also maintains involvement in such business organizations as Jack Miller Construction Network and NOMMA.
